“SpinSpinNYC just dropped a hot new video from the mysterious group Galexi. What seems to be their first release, “Galaxy” is a mesmerizing journey through the cosmos–a virtual reality-like trip through space with some sort of banging rave on a far off planet with a death-star disco-ball and a really cool eclipse of a sun….It’s Bjork meets Sia meets Giorgio Moroder.” via Magnetic Magazine.

“DJ/producer Jay Hill, who in a former life was a singer-songwriter in the realm of trip-hop on the West Coast, has been walking the border of house and techno ever since she relocated to the Big Apple in 2012. Now spending time in Philadelphia, where she’s got her own studio, Hill is focusing on production and remix projects. With tracks for King Street Sounds and remixes for the likes of Allies For Everyone under her belt, her remix of Glasys’ “The Pressure” is set for release shortly out on SpinSpin NYC.
Taking the lessons she’s learned opening for Adam Beyer, Ida Engberg, Shonky, Dan Ghenacia, and Kevin Yost, Hill will bring her smooth grooves to Europe this summer by way of a DJ tour that’ll touch down in Greece, the UK and Germany. Ahead of a blockbuster summer she takes control of Big Shot Guest Mix 330, a heavenly 17-track session featuring subterranean excursions from Frankie Deep, Jordan Peak, Pete Moss, Matthias Vogt, Mr. G and Jay Tripwire’s edit of her track ‘Falls the Shadows.'”

“We’re excited to present a new mix series with the talented Nutritious. For those that aren’t familiar with him yet, he’s an artist that’s been through various levels of the music industry including experiences with Avex Records, Savoir Adore, MFSB & Disco Inferno guitarist TJ Tindall, spinning Mushroom Jazz with Mark Farina, performing 2×4 with DJ Logic, touring Central America, holding down residencies and regular performances at the Ace Hotel, Cielo, Mighty, and Eighteenth Street Lounge, contributing to the NYT bestselling book Living Well, airing multiple sets on Pete Tong’s Evolution FM radio, scoring films for Danny Aiello and contributing to MindBodyGreen and Big Buds Magazine, appearing in and scoring two feature films alongside Method Man, Moby, Sander Kleinenberg and Wolfgang Gartner. It’s safe to say that even if you weren’t familiar with his name, you’ve definitely heard his music before.
He’s also a massive fan and contributor to the world of jazz, and we’ve had the talented DJ explore this world in his first feature mix with us. From the smooth sounds of Poldoore to Anderson .Paak, he’s got music with jazz influences from across the globe to craft something truly special for our listeners today.” via Magnetic Magazine.

“Taking a cue from Andy Warhol’s Interview Magazine, a publication that features intimate conversations between creative thinkers, we asked two of New York’s rising electronic music producers, SpinSpinNYC’s otodojo (Maro Kariya) and Twin Primes (Omar Ahmad), to record a dialogue about what inspires them to create music and what influences their productions. The artists did just that and then some, exploring politics, life lessons and visualizing the sound of molecules like benzene along the way.
Twin Primes (TP): I first heard your remix of “Says” by Nils Frahm through a friend who is known for being a huge critic.
otodojo (O): I didn’t think that putting drums on top of a piano sequence looping for 10 minutes would lead to such a great connection.
TP: What’s behind the name, otodojo?”
