NiteTables Interviews Zoe Wilder

NiteTables_Zoe_Wilder_01

“It’s confusing when people ask me what I do. I kind of smile and ask them, ‘Well, how long do you have?’”

With a glass of wine in hand and lioness-like hair flowing in the wind, Zoe Wilder says this as we sit outside Revel in the Meatpacking District. As a dancer, model, writer, musician, photographer and humanitarian (and that’s not all), Zoe Wilder is more than just a one-trick pony. With so many talents and events in her life, she tends to take things as they come, without guidelines or plans. She even told me she had no idea what she was doing that week. Her aversion to routine and monotonous daily plans illuminates her multi-faceted personality…”

An Interview With New York City Nightlife Guru, Rob Fernandez | The Huffington Post

Dance_Here_Now_Cielo_Huffington_Post_Rob_Fernandez_Zoe_Wilder

Lasers beam while dancers bask in the mirror ball glow, floating in fog, fits of euphoria in synch with the beat, the beautiful sounds all around and you can’t help but think…This is what it’s all for. Rob Fernandez knows a little something about this, as he’s cultivated the New York City nightlife for two decades now. Chances are, if you like to party and appreciate house music, you’ve danced into the wee hours of the morning at one of his events…

May 30 2012 Brooklyn Shakedown: Wiseacre, John Dill, Nutritious

We welcome back Wiseacre & John Dill to the BROOKLYN SHAKEDOWN for an evening of musical discoveries, unchartered territories, revelry, & dance.

WISEACRE (LOUIE and CHAN – NYC / theLIFT – LA)

JOHN DILL (PICKLED HOUSE, VERBOTEN – NYC)

While the Wiseacre’s living a bi-coastal existence between LA and NYC, his LIFT party thrives out West and his soon to be restaurant/club Louie and Chan is getting its legs in Lower East Side of New York City. Wiseacre’s a top dj…He selects super fine tunes from the most danceable of genres …from Brooklyn grooves to Balkan beats, South American samba to Sweden’s indie dance, he blends the house, the funk, the disco, the afro-latin, the broken-beat, and the dub …and he’s one of our faves.

Not to mention how prolific Robot Heart is on the playa, in the past nine years John Dill has emerged as one of New York’s favorite underground DJs and beloved club personas. During this time John has shared the decks with the likes of Mark Farina, Derrick Carter, Wiseacre, Chris Duckenfield (SWAG), Tom Middleton, Phil Weeks, Scumfrog, Master Kev, Satoshi Tomiie, and the Dirtybird crew (Claude VanStroke, Justin Martin, Christian Martin). John’s solid reputation is built entirely on making asses shake.

NUTRITIOUS joins.

About Bembe:

“A refreshing break from the lily-white Williamsburg hipster scene, this cozy brick-walled lounge is a relaxing place to enjoy sweet island-flavored drinks early in the evening. But Bembe heats up as the night goes on, with DJs spinning multicultural beats, often accompanied by hand percussionists as the sexiest people you’ll ever see rub up against each other.”
