Galexi’s “Galaxy” Is Pure Eclipse Disco

“SpinSpinNYC just dropped a hot new video from the mysterious group Galexi. What seems to be their first release, “Galaxy” is a mesmerizing journey through the cosmos–a virtual reality-like trip through space with some sort of banging rave on a far off planet with a death-star disco-ball and a really cool eclipse of a sun….It’s Bjork meets Sia meets Giorgio Moroder.via Magnetic Magazine.

SpinSpinNYC’s Otodojo and Twin Primes Discuss Making Music with Molecules, Ecuadorian Shamanism and Post 9/11 Dystopia | Magnetic Magazine

“Taking a cue from Andy Warhol’s Interview Magazine, a publication that features intimate conversations between creative thinkers, we asked two of New York’s rising electronic music producers, SpinSpinNYC’s otodojo (Maro Kariya) and Twin Primes (Omar Ahmad), to record a dialogue about what inspires them to create music and what influences their productions. The artists did just that and then some, exploring politics, life lessons and visualizing the sound of molecules like benzene along the way.

Twin Primes (TP): I first heard your remix of “Says” by Nils Frahm through a friend who is known for being a huge critic.

otodojo (O): I didn’t think that putting drums on top of a piano sequence looping for 10 minutes would lead to such a great connection.

TP: What’s behind the name, otodojo?”

SpinSpinNYC Artists Charles Brix & Infernal Devices Pick One Song / Artist to Listen to as the World Comes to an End | Magnetic Magazine

Magnetic_Magazine_SpinSpinNYCTwo SpinSpinNYC artists, Charles Brix & Infernal Devices, tell Magnetic Magazine which song / artist they would like to listen to as the world comes to an end.

“Computer Love by Kraftwerk. I used to listen to this song over and over again as a kid.  It has a great groove, but also this serene quality to it that calms me down. If it was all coming to an end, I think I’d like to be in a peaceful state of mind.” –Andy Miccolis of Infernal Devices

“If there’s anyone I’d trust to prepare my soul for the next dimension, it would have to be Nutritious.  When it comes to soul, he’s got the market cornered.” –Charles Brix aka Higher Nebulae (SpinSpinNYC)
