Big Shot Guest Mix 330: Jay Hill

“DJ/producer Jay Hill, who in a former life was a singer-songwriter in the realm of trip-hop on the West Coast, has been walking the border of house and techno ever since she relocated to the Big Apple in 2012. Now spending time in Philadelphia, where she’s got her own studio, Hill is focusing on production and remix projects. With tracks for King Street Sounds and remixes for the likes of Allies For Everyone under her belt, her remix of Glasys’ “The Pressure” is set for release shortly out on SpinSpin NYC.

Taking the lessons she’s learned opening for Adam Beyer, Ida Engberg, Shonky, Dan Ghenacia, and Kevin Yost, Hill will bring her smooth grooves to Europe this summer by way of a DJ tour that’ll touch down in Greece, the UK and Germany. Ahead of a blockbuster summer she takes control of Big Shot Guest Mix 330, a heavenly 17-track session featuring subterranean excursions from Frankie Deep, Jordan Peak, Pete Moss, Matthias Vogt, Mr. G and Jay Tripwire’s edit of her track ‘Falls the Shadows.'”

Liquid Enlightenment Mix: otodojo

from Liquid Enlightenment:

“Hailing from Brooklyn to the far reaches of New York State, the curator of our latest (and long awaited) LQE026 mix also happens to be a fantastic producer. You can check otodojo’s latest productions on his soundcloud page (for those of you who love Nils Frahm, he’s also released a fantastic remix of Says).

This mix in particular is carefully crafted, and aligns perfectly with the smooth vibes we’ve been trying to promote over the years. We’re particularly keen on the lovely mix between that Tanaka track and Floating Points’ ‘Myrtle Ave’. Later in the mix we also get to enjoy some of otodojo’s own productions, following a track released on Ithaca’s homegrown Blank Slate records. Super excited for this one, and we know you’ll love it too.”

Nexus Radio Episode 006 – Mixed by Nutritious | DJ Times

“Not many DJs are as legit as New York’s own Nutritious. His talent for producing, mixing, and remixing has caught the eye of many a tastemaker, leading to performances at the hottest clubs across the globe. As a testament to his ability and success, the Brooklyn-based DJ has played alongside America’s Best DJ nominee and label mate Mark Farina.

For his Nexus Radio guest mix, Nutritious takes us back to his set at Forward Disco event at New York City’s Cielo nightclub from last month. During the two-hour journey, he drops a mix of house, techno, and disco, creating a mix that is as eclectic as it is danceable…” via DJ Times.
