Nutritious Press Shot 02

We’re excited to present a new mix series with the talented Nutritious. For those that aren’t familiar with him yet, he’s an artist that’s been through various levels of the music industry including experiences with Avex Records, Savoir Adore, MFSB & Disco Inferno guitarist TJ Tindall, spinning Mushroom Jazz with Mark Farina, performing 2×4 with DJ Logic, touring Central America, holding down residencies and regular performances at the Ace Hotel, Cielo, Mighty, and Eighteenth Street Lounge, contributing to the NYT bestselling book Living Well, airing multiple sets on Pete Tong’s Evolution FM radio, scoring films for Danny Aiello and contributing to MindBodyGreen and Big Buds Magazine, appearing in and scoring two feature films alongside Method Man, Moby, Sander Kleinenberg and Wolfgang Gartner. It’s safe to say that even if you weren’t familiar with his name, you’ve definitely heard his music before.

He’s also a massive fan and contributor to the world of jazz, and we’ve had the talented DJ explore this world in his first feature mix with us. From the smooth sounds of Poldoore to Anderson .Paak, he’s got music with jazz influences from across the globe to craft something truly special for our listeners today.” via Magnetic Magazine.

Big Shot Guest Mix: Kohib

12642713_1044250322280960_5458280282506383689_nfrom Big Shot Magazine:

“Norwegian DJ/producer Kohib brings the heat on Big Shot Guest Mix 313. Having just released “Time For Cake” earlier in the month on SpinSpinNYC, he flaunts his mixing prowess on a session comprised of heavenly house tracks produced by his fellow countrymen. Trust us when we say it’s as tasty (and addictive) as Norwegian smoked salmon.

Inspired by Balearic disco to deep house and techno, Kohib, who has upcoming releases on various labels (“first some Afrobeat with Sveinbjörn from Iceland, then some techno with Kahuun from Bergen.”), took pride in representing Norway on his mix. “I wanted to put together a fruit basket of Norwegian tracks that might inspire you guys. When I see the tracklist, I happen to see that I’ve included some of my own remixes, and the new track on SpinSpinNYC; it just happened! The first track, ‘Song for Annie,’ is one of the reasons why I listen to a certain kinda music. Erot is not among us anymore, but his music will be here forever! Hope you enjoy this variety of Norwegian dogs!”
