Barrow’s Intense Ginger Medjool Lassi


We here at SpinSpinNYC are inspired by modern and traditional delights found across the globe. We discover new wonders in our travels and take pleasure in creating our own blends, fusions if-you-will, of music, events and the culinary treats that accompany our good times.

Today we bring you our own ginger infused medjool date lassi. We’ll be serving this one up at Thanksgiving – a homage of sorts to the ludicrousness of Columbus’ voyage to America and the subsequent systematic pillage of our great country’s natives. Supposedly, Christopher was eager to reach the East Indies in hopes of securing trade routes to the more elusive, treasured spices of great Asia…look no further as we toast one to the tireless fruits of European imperialism.

Barrow’s Intense Ginger Medjool Lassi
single serving 8oz

2 Large Organic Medjool Dates (pitted)
6oz. Plain Organic Yogurt
1.5oz Barrows Intense Ginger Liqueur
1/4 Teaspoon Raw Organic Honey

Combine all ingredients in a Vitamix blender and blend until smooth, approximately 30 seconds.
Serve chilled in a rocks glass or over ice.
